Brain Boot Camp
I know that last week’s blog was a bit longer than normal – so this week, I am going to be short and to the point.
The message this week is simple. Don’t get discouraged when prayers don’t seem to get answered.
TRAIN YOUR MIND TO HAVE FAITH IN GOD. ASK GOD TO KEEP YOU FROM NEGATIVE THOUGHTS. BE DETERMINED TO NOT GIVE UP.
How do you train your mind? Time will be your trainer. Time will teach you to wait on God. Time makes you be patient. Time develops strength and endurance.
You cannot train for a marathon in a week. It takes time.
Don’t let difficulty, stress, and frustration lead you down a path of worry and depression. Train your mind to be STRONG and not go there. Don’t be weak and just sit around and let negative thoughts control your mood. TRAIN yourself to be a powerhouse of positive thoughts.
Difficulty, stress, and frustration and props on a stage. God is about to pull you onto center stage for a battle that you will win.
If you want victory in your life, you have to wait for God to show up and lead you into each battle. God is seldom in a hurry – but he is NEVER late. Don’t jump the gun because you have let negative thoughts take over your behavior.
Remember – there are no heroes and not victories without a battle.
So train your mind to remember that God is at work on the big picture of your life. And for God’s sake... be strong enough in the Lord to not lose faith over a small detail. You’re not a weakling...I promise you – you can handle it!
Romans 5: 3 – 6 There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling short-changed. Quite the contrary – we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit. Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t and doesn’t wait for us to get ready.
Ha now I'm first to post.
ReplyDeleteGod's like a wizard, he arrives precisely when he means to ;)
Anyway, thank you for the reminder, Mom. I guess negative feelings can make you sometimes feel like jumping the gun, especially if you think it might make you feel better. But without God, things usually don't turn out the way you thought they would.
Proverbs 19:21 "Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand." I think that verse sums up what I'm trying to say.
